Write for Us
BravoTech publishes tested guides to cloud storage and productivity software for individuals and small teams in the US. We accept a small number of contributions from people who use these tools in their work every day. We review every pitch, and we edit every article we publish.
This page explains what we look for and how to pitch. Before you pitch, read our Content Guidelines and our Contributor & Sponsored Content Policy.
What we publish
Core topics
- Cloud storage and backup: Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, iCloud, pCloud, and backup tools. This covers setup, sharing, syncing, storage limits, migration, and recovery.
- Productivity and office software: office suites, spreadsheets, note-taking apps, project management tools, and business communication tools.
Supporting topics
- Everyday apps and utilities: mainstream, legal apps and how-tos for Mac, Windows, iPhone, Android, and the browser.
- Writing, SEO, and content tools: tools that small teams use to plan, write, edit, and optimize content.
- Security and privacy for small teams: password managers, backup, account security, and practical security basics.
If your idea doesn’t fit one of these topics, we won’t publish it, however well it’s written.
Who we’re looking for
We want contributors with real, hands-on experience of the topic they pitch. For example:
- IT admins who manage Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 for a small business
- Consultants who move teams between cloud storage or project management tools
- Writers, editors, and SEO practitioners who use the tools they write about
- Security practitioners who support small teams
You’ll publish under your real name, with a short bio that explains your relevant experience.
Two ways to work with us
Expert contributions (unpaid)
You share first-hand knowledge, and we give you a byline and an author bio. No money changes hands either way. Links to your own site are limited and carry rel="nofollow" unless our editor chooses to cite your work as a source. See Content Guidelines for details.
Sponsored content (paid)
Brands can pay to place an article that fits our topics. Every sponsored article is labeled as sponsored, and every link to the sponsor carries rel="sponsored". Sponsored content goes through the same editorial review as everything else we publish. See our Contributor & Sponsored Content Policy for the rules and the topics we don’t accept.
We don’t sell do-follow links, and we don’t publish link-only articles.
How to pitch
We don’t accept finished articles that we haven’t asked for, and there is no self-serve publishing on BravoTech. Every article starts with a pitch.
Email [email protected] with the subject line “Pitch: [your working title]”. For sponsored content, use “Sponsored pitch: [your working title]”.
Include:
- Working title and a 2 to 3 sentence summary of the reader problem your article solves.
- Topic area from the list above.
- Your experience: how you have used the tools or done the task yourself, and for how long.
- Outline: H2 and H3 headings, with one line under each heading.
- Testing plan: the products, plan tiers, devices, and operating systems you will use.
- Two or three writing samples published under your name.
- Your bio and LinkedIn profile (or another public professional profile).
- Sponsored pitches only: the sponsoring company, the page you’d like to link to, and how it relates to the topic.
What happens next
- We review your pitch. We reply within 3 to 5 business days, whether or not we accept it.
- We agree the brief. If we accept your pitch, we confirm the angle, the outline, the deadline, and any links.
- You write and test. Follow the Content Guidelines. Send your draft as a Google Doc with your screenshots and sources.
- We edit. Our editor checks facts, sources, screenshots, and links. We may ask for changes, edit the piece ourselves, or decline it. Accepting a pitch does not guarantee that we’ll publish the article.
- We publish. The article goes out under your byline, with your bio, the publish date, and the name of the editor who reviewed it.
What we don’t offer
- Do-follow links in exchange for payment, content, or a link exchange
- Guaranteed rankings, traffic, or indexing
- Publication without editorial review
- Articles outside the topics listed above
